This fruit cocktail drink has a refreshing and delicious blend of sweet and tart fruits, sweetened condensed milk, ice, and vodka, making it one of the best summer cocktails for parties and other occasions.
Looking for a beautiful, refreshing, and delish drink that tastes like a treat for celebrating Mother's Day? This Brazilian fruit cocktail drink, known as coquetel de frutas in Brazil, will make her day super special!
Because I rarely drink alcohol, I made myself a mocktail!
I blended tropical fruits with berries and condensed milk... and in just a few minutes, heaven in a glass was ready to sip.
I love this kind of treat: quick and easy, refreshing, and delicious-- just like many of our drink recipes.
I cannot have enough of them. And you know what? I bet your Mom will come for seconds!

How to Make Fruit Cocktail
- Place all the ingredients in a blender.
- Blend until obtaining a smooth, creamy, and thick mixture. Divide it into cocktail glasses and enjoy!
Ingredients and Substitutions
- Fruit blend: Use fresh or frozen berries such as raspberries, chopped strawberries, or a mixture of both. You may use any berry of your choice or a blend of 2 or more. I also enjoy adding at least one of these other alkaline fruits such as seedless watermelon, papaya, mango, or guava to balance the acidity of the berries. If you use frozen fruits, you may have to add a little more orange juice to the blender.
- Liquids: A blend of orange and lemon juices will make your fruit cocktail taste better than water while adding a zing.
- Sweeteners: You may use only sugar to sweeten your drink (or honey), but it is common to have sweetened condensed milk added to Brazilian fruit cocktails. It makes them sweeter and also creamier.
- Ice cubes: If you use frozen fruits, you may skip them though! When ice is blended, it will transform into water, making your cocktail drink less thick.
- Alcohol (optional): In Brazil, the preferred alcohol to add to fruit cocktail drinks is cachaça. However, if you don't find it, vodka or white rum make great substitutes. Skip it to make a fruit mocktail instead!
Tips for The Best Fruit Cocktail Drink
- You may pick any fruit of your choice to make variations of this recipe. However, it is key to choose at least one neutral/alkaline fruit and one citric fruit to balance flavors.
- Condensed milk adds an extra touch of sweetness and makes this fruit cocktail creamier. For a dairy-free cocktail recipe, replace it with coconut condensed milk.
- To make this Brazilian fruit cocktail recipe low-carb, use the same fruits with a blend of stevia, a keto vanilla yogurt, and only a teaspoon of vodka, or skip the alcohol.
- Make sure to blend all the ingredients very well until smooth. If needed, adjust the thickness of your drink to your preferred consistency. I prefer mine quite thick; however, you can add more liquids to make yours thinner.
FAQs
A fruit cocktail drink consists of a mixture of fruits, a sweetener, and a liquor blended until smooth. Here are a few examples: Piña colada, strawberry daiquiri, and a mango margarita. One of my favorites is this Brazilian fruit cocktail!
Although it is best consumed chilled within 5-10 minutes of being prepared, you may refrigerate in a pitcher with a lid for up to 24 hours. Just make sure to mix it well before serving.

This really does look blissful! Our yard is covered in snow, but I'm going to do my best to imagine myself sitting on a warm beach, with one of these drinks in my hand.

Thanks for stopping by, Dara! This is a very popular drink in my tropical country.
But my hubby and I love it so much that we drink it even on cold days.
Foodista gave me an award for it which made me very happy. 🙂 Well, have a cozy winter day!!!

It was such a warm day today and this cocktail would have been a nice Friday treat. Well, that's me saying who is not much of a drinker!! This must be a delicious one with all the fruits in it. I LOVE fruity drinks and that's pretty much what I like in terms of alcohol. 🙂 Lovely presentation too!
